I. Short Answers


1. What was put on the family agenda?

Getting a chair for their home was put on the family agenda.

The stool measured a three-fourth foot. It was three legged.

Though the chair was washed well, the children feared to sit. Suganthi put her baby brother on it. Only then the children got over the fear of sitting on the chair.

14. Why did Maamanaar hand over the chair to the villagers to retain it?

The villagers needed the chair for propping up the corpses so Maamanaar handed over the chair to the villagers.
