Exceptional Cases in Reported Speech
There will be no change of tenses in the following cases..
*Universal Truth
Example:
The teacher said, "The Sun rises in the East"
The teacher said that the Sun rises in the East.
*The reporting verb is in present or future tense
Example:
1.Raja says, "I have to come tomorrow"
Raja says that he has to come the next day
2.Mani will say, "Ram never comes to party"
Mani will say that Ram never comes to party.
*Zero Conditional(A type in if condition)
Prabu said,"If the glass falls, it breaks"
Prabu said that if the glass falls, it breaks
*Unfulfilled wish(If Condition)
Kumar said to Rahul, "If I had seen you, I would have talked to you"
Kumar told Rahul that if he had seen him, he would have talked to him.
*Imaginary(If Condition)
Rani said,"If I were a bird, I would fly"
Rani said that If she were a bird, she would fly.
The other types of "If Conditions" will undergo the changes following the rules of Reported Speech
